GASPORT FARM ROBBED

If you read this weekend's Metro Community News (the weekly Retailer newspaper), you likely saw an ad by Scott Perry & Co. advertising an auction to be held at Hetrick Elk Farm on Ridge Road this coming Saturday. The notice listed everything that was to be auctioned off.

Well, it's likely some scumbag criminals saw the ad, too, and, in turn, saw a target ripe for the picking.

Niagara County Sheriff's are reporting that overnight Saturday someone broke into the barn and stole 600 animal traps, 100 fur stretchers, 6 Coleman coolers, and numerous hand tools and power tools. Total loss was stated as $17,680.

If you have any tips -- it must be difficult to hide that many traps and stretchers -- call the Sheriff's office at 716.438.3393.
