NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Town Board of the Town of Royalton will hold separate public hearings on the matters referenced to herein at the Town Hall, 5316 Royalton Center Road, Middleport, New York, on the 21st day of October, 2013 beginning at 7:00 p.m. (local time). Said public hearings shall be as follows:
1. OVERRIDE OF THE TAX LEVY LIMIT ESTABLISHED IN GENERAL MUNICIPAL LAW §3-C FOR THE TOWN OF ROYALTON, NIAGARA COUNTY, FOR FISCAL YEAR 2014.
2. SPECIAL DISTRICTS ASSESSMENTS
Pursuant to Section 198 of the New York State Town Law, the town board has opted to enforce various unpaid accounts for water, sewer, refuse, and other unpaid town services as indicated below, by placing a lien upon the real property for which such services were provided.
Total Unpaid Water $89,885.03
Total Unpaid Sewer $ 6,902.96
Total Unpaid Refuse $ 0.00
Total Town Charges $ 450.00
GRAND TOTAL $97,237.99
3. SPECIAL BENEFIT ASSESSMENT ROLL
ROYALTON WATER DISTRICT:
Water District With Improvements $250.00 / Unit
Water District Without Improvements $ 50.00 / Unit
Unimproved District with Water $ 10.00 / Unit
Unimproved District Without Water $ 1.00 / Unit
ROYALTON REFUSE DISTRICT: $181.75 / Unit
4. TOWN OF ROYALTON FIRE PROTECTION CONTRACTS
One (1) year contract with each of the five (5) fire companies serving the Town of Royalton. There will be a 2% increase in the contract funding for each company. Contract dates to run from January 1, 2014-December 31, 2014.
5. TOWN OF ROYALTON 2014 BUDGET
Amounts to raised by taxation are as follows:
ROYALTON WATER DISTRICT $588,116.00
ROYALTON SEWER DISTRICT $148,700.00
ROYALTON REFUSE DISTRICT $445,469.00
GASPORT LIGHTING DISTRICT $ 16,000.00
ROYALTON FIRE PROTECTION $419,804.00
DRAINAGE FUND $128,804.00
All persons interested shall be heard at the public hearing to be held by the Town Board as aforesaid relative to assessments and amounts to be raised in said districts.
The Town Board of the Town of Royalton will hear any person in favor of or against the preliminary budget as filed with the Town Clerk.
Pursuant to Section 108 of the Town Law, proposed salaries of Town Officers are hereby specified:
