Concerns about the inner-workings of the Niagara Falls Bridge Commission were set aside this week as Niagara County lawmakers once again engaged in the long-standing practice of distributing commission dollars to community groups in need.

Enhancement funds were distributed to 22 business groups this year with the ceremonial checks being distributed by county lawmakers to association representatives during a meeting Tuesday in Lockport.

All of the participating business groups will match the commission’s grant awards dollar-for-dollar.
