Peanut Butter and Jelly Drive 2017

When people donate food to food pantries, usually it’s canned goods that kids all too often aren’t much interested in eating. That’s why Pete Robinson of Lockport founded the Peanut Butter and Jelly Drive in 2010: He wanted to provide local needy families with foods that kids enjoy.

This year's PB&J Drive begins November 1st, with donation bins for unopened jars of peanut butter, jelly and marshmallow Fluff being set up all over the Niagara Frontier.

There are 5 drop-off sites in Gasport: Chop Shop; Durfs/MJ Tire; Nickleback Bottle and Can Redemption Center, Royalton town  hall and Schwab’s Farm Market.

Gasport Food Pantry update

Gasport's Food Pantry at Zion Lutheran Church continues to have a huge impact on our community.

On Saturday, September 23rd, 18 families totaling 75 people used the services provided by the food pantry. 30 bags of food were distributed and 14 families used the clothing closet.

Thank you to the volunteers and donors who make this happen!

Currently, the pantry is short on Jell-o, canned fruits, tuna fish, jelly, pork & beans, cereal, potatoes, and pasta sauce. If you'd like to donate such items, please visit the Church Sunday mornings between 7:30 AM and noon.

If you would like to utilize the services of the pantry, it is open the fourth Saturday of every month between 10:00 AM and noon.
