Roger White found eternal rest on Sunday February 12 after a courageous battle with sarcoma cancer He was surrounded by family and friends, under the care of Hospice.
Born December 31, 1950 to the late Raymond and Betty Sechler White. He is survived by his wife Beth (Miller) White, daughter Amy (John) Seefeldt and son Scott (Lisa) White. Also survived by grandchildren Emory, Sydney and Meghan Seefeldt and "Grand-dog" Ruger. Also survived by sisters Sandra (Robert) Kelley and Joanne (Herb) Goodenough. Sister in Laws, Pamela (William) Korff and Cheryl (James) Felvus as well as several nieces and nephews.
Roger was a dairy farmer who also served on various farm committees. He was the vice president of Milk for Health and a director for the American Dairy Association. He previously served as secretary and vice president of Niagara Milk Producers. He served on the Farm Bureau Board as well. He was a member of Gasport Lodge F&AM, Ames Chapter RAM and Lockport Eastern Star.
Roger loved his family and worked with them every day. Roger loved sharing his farm with others. Nursery school and Leadership Niagara were yearly tours. Anyone who stopped in was welcome even from Australia and India. He welcomed riders when he was working and explained how things worked, especially with family members.
Calling hours will be Thursday February 16th 7-9 and Friday February 17th 2-4 & 7-9 at Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, Genesee St Lockport. Services will be held Saturday at February 18th 2017 at 11:00 in the Covenant United Church of Christ, Main St Gasport. A Masonic service by the Gasport Lodge F&AM will be held Friday evening at 8:45 PM.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Covenant Church or Niagara Hospice.
