LIBRARY TO HOLD CRAIGSLIST SEMINAR

Garage sale season is coming and many people may want to buy or sell their unwanted or unused items online using Craigslist.

Craigslist is a classified advertisements website with sections devoted to jobs, housing, personals, for sale, items wanted, services, community, gigs, résumés, and even discussion forums that began in 1995. More than 60 million people use Craigslist to buy or sell items each month in the US alone.

Now you can learn how to buy and sell your stuff on Craigslist.org at a special technology help session on Monday, April 18 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Royalton Hartland Community Library, 9 S. Vernon Street in Middleport.

Knowledgeable staff from the Nioga BTOP program will show how to create a listing, upload pictures and contact buyers and sellers.

The library will provide the laptop computers; participants just have to bring their own smartphone or camera (with cables) to learn how to upload pictures for a listing.

Space is limited for this class, and attendance is free, so registration is required. Interested participants can register by phone, online or at the Library Desk.
