RELEASE OF NAMES FROM Fatal Accident on Akron Road in Town of Royalton
Royalton, NY
UPDATE: On the above date and time the Niagara County Sheriff's Office was investigating a car/dog accident in the area of the 7600 block of Akron Road when the owner of the dog, 55 year old Robert Strassel, was struck by a westbound vehicle. The vehicle was driven by 23 year old Michael Rider Jr of Barker, NY. Robert had removed the animal from the roadway and was attempting to clean up debris when he was struck. Robert was taken to ECMC by Mercy Flight where he later died. The investigation is continuing by the Niagara County Sheriff's Office Accident Investigation Unit.
