NATURE JOURNALING WORKSHOP
If the beauty of nature often catches your eye, you
may want to learn how to record what you see to be enjoyed later on.
Judy Light, an Art Educator who teaches in the Medina School District ,
will be sharing how to use drawing to record your encounters with nature
at the Tuesday, July 7 Nature Journaling workshop at 7 p.m. at the
Royalton Hartland Community Library.
A
Nature Journal is a place to record your thoughts, ideas, and
observations of the natural world. It is an opportunity to interact with
and interpret the natural world for your own growth and enjoyment.
The
free session that will take place at the library, 9 Vernon Street in
Middleport, will show participants how easy it is to record the signs of
the seasons with both an explanation of how it can be done, and an
actual outdoor experience where participants will record what they find
with Judy Light’s assistance.
All
materials for the workshop session will be provided by the Friends of
the Library and teens and adults are encouraged to visit or call the
library at 735-3281 to register as space in the Nature Journaling
session is limited.
The
Royalton Hartland Community Library provides residents a wide variety
of programs and materials that can be found on the library’s website at www.RoyHartCommunityLibrary.com . For more information or to register, call the library at 735-3281.

HASLETT GETS JOB AT PENN STATE
Jim Haslett who played for the Buffalo Bills from 1979 to 1985 had spent 24 years in various coaching roles in the NFL. He now has a new role as a consultant with Penn State's football team. We mention this because Jim once lived in Gasport and owned the Double Nickel Ranch
in town, a horse ranch named after his jersey number -- 55.

Last month at the annual gala held by the Niagara County Federation of Republican Women, Royalton town supervisor Jennifer Bieber was recognized by the organization with its Leadership Award.
