The FMC Middleport Plant has been recognized for achievement in
employee health and safety with a Responsible Care® Facility Safety Award from
the American Chemistry Council (ACC).
The Middleport Plant received a Certificate of Excellence in
the safety award category and the company was recognized overall with a
Performance Award for helping the ACC meet industry safety and product
stewardship targets, and an Energy Efficiency Award for manufacturing
operations improvements through technical innovations, creative projects and
novel procedures and actions. The awards
were presented at the recent 2014 Responsible Care® Conference
and Expo.
For the second consecutive year, FMC received the
Responsible Care Performance Award.
"We're honored by the ACC's recognition of FMC's
performance and track record of continued improvement in safety and energy
efficiency," said Linda Froelich, director of Global Sustainability for
FMC.
FMC is a member of the ACC and a participant in the
Responsible Care program, the industry's premier voluntary environmental,
health, safety and security initiative.
