The series of “Chocoholic Mysteries” by author
JoAnna Carl will be the topic at the Monday, March 31 meeting of the
Royalton Hartland Community Library Book Club. The group will meet at 7
p.m. in the upstairs meeting room at the library, 9 Vernon Street in
Middleport.
This
month’s reading selections are written by JoAnna Carl who is also known
by her alternate pen name Eve K. Sandstrom. She worked for more than
twenty-five years as a reporter, editor, and columnist at an Oklahoma
newspaper, and retired to write fiction full-time.
Carl’s
Chocoholic Mystery stories feature Lee McKinney, a beauty queen from
Texas who is employed by a chocolate making business run by her Aunt in
Michigan. The stories are covered with candy innuendos and each one
includes a bit of “chocolate lore” in them as well, making her a much
loved author.
The
Royalton Hartland Community Library Book Club meets monthly to discuss a
wide selection of literary works, and members welcome both a variety of
opinions and new members.
Anyone
interested is invited to attend this month’s meeting, or any of the
future meetings at the library. Meeting dates are posted online at www.royhartcommunitylibrary.com or you can call the library at 716-735-3281 with any questions or for more information.
