LIBRARY TO OFFER TRAINING FOR E-GADGETS

If you have questions about your e-reader, Smart Phone, computer or any other electronic device, bring them to the Gadgets and Gear Session at the Royalton Hartland Community Library. It will be held on Thursday, January 30 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Not only can residents learn how to use them but they can also see how to download the free e-books from the NIOGA library system’s online service called Overdrive, learn how to use Freegal, the free music download service or get access to a large number of free magazines on the new service Zinio.

Sara Taylor, an e-mobile trainer from the NIOGA Library System's BTOP Express, will be at the library to answer questions and show how to use just about any electronic device on an individual, walk-in basis. “It’s a great opportunity to get your questions answered and practice what you have just learned,” says Rose Bernard, Library Director. “Sara is wonderful and has the knack for making learning easy.”

Bring your own Kindle, Nook, iPad, flash drive, laptop or other electronic devices (including your charging cords) and ask questions about them. You will be able to download items from Overdrive, Freegal or Zinio right at the session so you will know how to do it on your own.

The Royalton Hartland Community Library periodically offers sessions like Gadgets and Gear and residents are encouraged to check the library’s website at www.RoyHartCommunityLibrary.com for program information or you can call the library at 735-3281.
