On January 21st, 2014 around 8:00 PM Niagara County Dispatch received a 911 call of an
accident involving a motor vehicle in front of 8549 Ridge Road in the
Town of Hartland. Investigation reveals the vehicle was traveling east
bound on Ridge Road in the Town of Hartland when the vehicle left the
road and went onto the south shoulder. The vehicle struck a tree in the
front yard of 8549 Ridge Road before coming to rest. The operator of the
vehicle was transported to Eastern Niagara Hospital in the City of
Lockport shortly after and was pronounced deceased. The investigation is
continuing by the Niagara County Sheriff's Office Accident
Investigation Unit. The name of the occupant is being withheld at this
time pending the notification of the family.
