The New York Power Authority’s (NYPA) Power Vista visitors center in Niagara Falls marked an attendance milestone of welcoming seven million visitors since the facility first opened its doors in 1963. At an event to mark the milestone and the facility’s 50th anniversary on Monday, NYPA’s Regional Manager for Western New York Harry Francois was on hand to greet the visitors and to recognize the Hard Hats of Niagara, a group of retired construction workers who built the Power Vista and the Niagara Hydroelectric Power Plant.
The miletsone visitor was Gasport's own Zach Yates. Some of the prizes he earned were a stay at the Giacomo hotel, Niagara USA Discovery Passes, tickets to Old Fort Niagara and dinner for two at the Barton Hill Hotel & Spa in Lewiston.
