Real estate transaction records published in the Buffalo News over recent weeks show that 2 local farms have bought nearly $340,000 of land recently, all of it in Gasport north of the canal. That's great news. That means the land isn't going to be developed and sprawl won't be creeping into our community. They are maintaining our agricultural heritage and Gasport's greatest economic engine.
