Readers interested in sharing their love for
reading are invited to join the members of the Royalton Hartland Book
Club at their Monday, January 14 meeting at 7 p.m. in the upstairs
meeting room at the library, 9 Vernon Street in Middleport.
The
adult members of the Royalton Hartland Book Club meet monthly to
discuss a wide variety of literary selections and a variety of opinions
and new members are always welcome.
This
month’s book selection for discussion is “The Roots of the Olive Tree”
by Courtney Miller Santo. This is a story told from many different
viewpoints that highlights the joys and sorrows of family life and
tradition. Santo has her characters present their view of events and
each has a unique way of describing love, secrets, disappointments and
the forgiveness that bind families together through time. And Santo
includes a family secret that doesn’t leave anyone without something to
talk about.
Interested readers are invited to attend this month’s meeting, or any of the future meetings at the library, which are posted online at www.royhartcommunitylibrary.com.
Please call the library at 716-735-3281 with any questions or for more information.
