RIGHT TO FARM SIGNS

Royalton is a "Right To Farm" community, one that recognizes that farmers are protected from nuisance lawsuits brought on by new residents who move into the community and would like to put an end to necessary farming activities like tractor traffic on the roads, manure spreading or overnight harvest.

Our town is a safe harbor for farming and it's great that our officials and our residents recognize the importance of agriculture: It is far and away the largest private sector industry in our town, the farms pay the greatest volume of property taxes, and, collectively, the local farms employ the second most people within our town (the Royalton-Hartland School district is the #1 employer).

To keep current and future residents aware of this, the town will soon be putting up Right To Farm signs throughout town. Here's a sneak peek at the attractive signs...
