BOOSTERS CLUB SAVES WINTER MODIFIED SPORTS

Rick DeWaters, the head of the Roy-Hart Sports Boosters shares this great news...

It is with a great deal of pride and excitement that I am announcing to you that Winter Modified Sports (basketball, swimming, & wrestling for 7th, 8th, & 9th graders) at Roy-Hart have been restored. On behalf of the R-H Sports Booster Club, I presented the district superintendent with a check for nearly $13,000 and encouraged the district to use the donation to reinstate winter sports originally not included in the 2010-11 athletic budget.

We anticipate the Board of Education will officially accept this donation at its meeting Thursday evening, Oct. 28; and get with the business of hiring coaches and rescheduling Roy-Hart's winter modified sports programs with its participating schools.

It continues to amaze me that the R-H community can pull together in a time of need such as our sports programs are experiencing. I am so very proud to be a part of this effort and extremely happy that our student-athletes will continue to enjoy the sports programs they certainly deserve to experience.
