Linda Haley was a rural mail carrier at the Gasport post office for well over 10 years. Unfortunately, she has taken ill and hasn’t worked since December. She’s been battling breast cancer for 5 years and it recently took a turn for the worse as she was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer. She is undergoing the only treatment available, an experimental chemotherapy option.
Her friends and family will be holding a benefit for her on Sunday, May 23rd at Attitudes on West Ave. in Lockport from 3:00 to 8:00. The spaghetti dinner will feature a basket raffle and door prizes. There are over 200 Chinese Auction items, a 50/50 split, and the grand prize of a laptop computer donated by the employees of the Gasport Post Office.
