"PILOT'S WIFE" IS THE SUBJECT OF BOOK CLUB MEETING

Anita Shreve’s fictional work “The Pilot’s Wife” will be discussed at the November 10 meeting of the Royalton Hartland Book Club’s next meeting at 7 p.m. in the upstairs Community Room.  The members will be talking about what the main character, Kathryn, goes through after a double hit: the loss of her husband and the discovery of his “other family” in England.

After the tragic loss of her husband in a plane crash, Kathryn learns that he was living a second life with a wife and two children living in England. The details unfold and Kathryn struggles with both grief and anger in this 1998 bestseller that was adapted into a CBS made-for-TV movie in 2002.

New members are always welcome to attend the meetings of the Royalton Hartland Book Club. The members choose the book that they will discuss at the following meeting and a wide variety of genres are always considered.
