DOMSTOCK BENEFITS HOSPICE
All
Metal Works in Gasport recently held their 4th Annual Domstock BBQ
and concert fundraiser that raised $11,000 for Niagara Hospice. All Metal Works
owner Dominick Ciliberto said: "The event has become very popular among our
employees and has grown each year. We decided to make the event an opportunity
to give back to our community."
Ciliberto said they chose Niagara Hospice as
the beneficiary of this year's event because his family has experienced
first-hand the excellent and compassionate care that Niagara Hospice provides
to Niagara County residents in need of end-of-life services. Most recently,
Niagara Hospice helped care for Ciliberto's grandfather, also named Dominick
Ciliberto. Several other family members have received hospice care at home and
at Niagara Hospice House.
Niagara Hospice Alliance Director of Development,
Brendan McIntyre said, "Niagara County is fortunate to have residents like Jennifer, Dominick,
his family, employees and friends who want to help make Niagara County a better
place to work, live and volunteer. Their support and the support of so many
others in the community allow Niagara Hospice to provide outstanding and
unmatched services to people when its needed most, regardless of their ability
to pay or availability of insurance. We are truly grateful for their
commitment, hard work and support."

METRO COMMUNITY NEWS LOOKS AT BECKER FARMS
The online version of the MetroCommunity News features a story about Becker Farms that will appear in print this Saturday.
It starts as follows:
For more than 110 years, Becker Farms has been producing fruits and vegetables for many to enjoy.
The farm began in 1894 by Julius and Agusta Becker. It was then passed down to Frank and Amanda Becker. Because they did not have any sons, the farm went to their daughter Joyce Becker Perry. Where her and her husband kept the farm going part-time by growing tart cherries.
Then, in 1979, their daughter Melinda Perry Vizcarra and her husband Oscar decided to return to the farm, growing it in to what it is today.

SUPPORT ROY-HART BY SHOPPING AT TOPS
Tops Friendly Markets launched a new school fundraising program that
allows BonusCard users to rebate a portion of certain
purchases to the schools of their choice.
Shoppers can sign up for the Tops in Education program at www.TopsMarkets.com/Education and link their card to the school district. When doing so, you will need to enter the numbers that are both inside and outside the bar code on the back of your card. To find Roy-Hart in the database you cannot use Gaport's zip code, you must use Middleport's 14105.
When you buy Tops, Full Circle or TopCare products, Tops will automatically put 1 percent of the purchase price to Roy-Hart's account. Money will accumulate through April 30, then be distributed to schools at the end of the school year.
Tops will cap the total amount donated through the program at $300,000 throughout its entire market area....so that means sign-up now before other school districts join in.
