I was listening to Giant FM, the Niagara Region (Ontario) classic rock station when I heard an ad mentioning a special event this weekend recognizing the late, great Les Washbon of Gasport.
The Welland Motorcycle Club is presenting the fourth annual Les Washbon Memorial/750 Twin night this Saturday, June 22, at the Club's Welland, Ontario speedway.
Washbon competed professionally in AMA Pro Flat Track from the early 1980's until his retirement from racing in 1995. Washbon wore number 90.
