Fire departments from across New York are opening their doors this weekend (April 26th and 27th) as they look for new volunteer members as a part of the fourth
annual Recruit-New York campaign. Fire companies need more volunteers since membership
has fallen off in recent years. Participating departments gives tours of their firehouses, allow visitors to try on turnout gear and talk about volunteering.
Gasport area fire halls will be hosting the following open houses:
Gasport: 10 till 4 Saturday
Hartland: 8 till 5 Saturday and Sunday
Terry's Corners: 1 till 4 Sunday
