Hunting and the art of providing all-natural nourishment for our families is an important part of the culture in our community. The fall is a good time to introduce someone to the sport with numerous hunting seasons soon underway, like rabbit, turkey, and -- the most popular -- deer. There are 2 hunter education courses coming up in Gasport if you're looking to get someone licensed for the first time:

The first course will be held September 16th, 18th, and 20th from 6:00pm till 9:30pm each night at the Hartland Conservation Club on Orangeport Rd.

You must pre-register. Call Walt or Margo at 716.778.5288 after 4:00pm. Class size is limited to 40 students. You must attend all sessions.

There will also be a course offered on October 14th, 16th, and 18th from 6:00 till 10:00 each night at Little Ridge Archery (Alvord's) at 8862 Ridge Rd. Gasport.
