Voters in the Royalton-Hartland School District will decide on a 2012-13 budget that raises the tax levy by 2 percent but also cuts spending by 2 percent.
Board of Education members adopted the preliminary spending plan at a meeting Thursday. The $22 million budget is $500,000 less than the current school year’s spending plan. According to Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s proposed budget, Roy-Hart is slated to receive $11.2 million, a loss of $281,000 in state aid.
