The NOAA has issued a flood watch four our region...
LOW PRESSURE WILL MOVE ALONG A STALLED FRONT FROM LOWER MICHIGAN TO WESTERN NEW YORK TONIGHT AND SPREAD RAIN ACROSS THE ENTIRE REGION. THE RAIN WILL FALL HEAVILY AT TIMES THIS EVENING BEFORE TAPERING OFF FROM WEST TO EAST LATER TONIGHT...BUT LOCALLY HEAVYRAINS MAY CONTINUE CLOSE TO THE FRONTAL BOUNDARY WELL INTO THE OVERNIGHT HOURS. THERE IS THE POTENTIAL FOR 1 TO 2 INCHES OF RAINAREAWIDE BUT LOCALLY HEAVIER AMOUNTS ARE POSSIBLE...ESPECIALLY ACROSS AREAS CLOSER TO LAKE ONTARIO. THESE EXCESSIVE RAINS WOULD CAUSE LOCALIZED FLOODING IN LOW LYING AREAS AS WELL AS SIGNIFICANT RISES TO AREA CREEKS AND RIVERS. THESE RAINS ARE NOT ASSOCIATEDWITH THE REMNANTS OF "IKE" WHICH WILL PASS TO OUR WEST SUNDAY NIGHT
