JEFF BONO TO CHALLENGE MIKE COLE FOR ASSEMBLY SEAT

This year's election process will be an interesting one, not only for the presidential election, but for state elections as well. Mike Cole, a republican from Alden who represents Gasport in the NY Assembly, will be challenged in the primary election by Jeff Bono, a Newstead resident who has changed his party affiliation from Democrat to Republican and just this week announced his run for Assembly.

This will be a tough and dirty race as Cole's stature has soured in many people's eyes due to a trangression in Albany last year when he spent the night in an intern's apartment. That caused him to lose all seniority and to be barred from the intern program.
